Kiran Millwood Hargrave

Biographie

Née en 1990, Kiran Milwood Hargrave est une poétesse, dramaturge et romancière reconnue. Elle a commencé à écrire en 2009, alors qu’elle n’avait que dix-neuf ans. Son premier roman, La Fille d’encre et d’étoiles, a été récompensé du Waterstones Children’s Book Prize 2017 et du British Book Award’s Children’s Book of the Year. Son deuxième roman, The Island at the End of Everything, a été nommé pour les prix Blue Peter Award, Costa Children’s Book Award et CILIP Carnegie Medal 2018. The Way Past Winter a remporté le prix du Blackwell’s Children’s Book of the Year. Et elle s’apprête à publier son premier roman pour adultes, Les Graciées. Kiran Milwood Grave écrit également de la poésie, qu’elle a fait publier à travers le monde dans des revues telles que Magma, Room, Agenda, Shearsman, The Irish Literary Review et Orbis. Sa première pièce de théâtre, BOAT, a été mise en scène en octobre 2015 par la PIGDOG Theatre Company à Balham. Kiran vit à Oxford avec son époux, Tom.
